Roofing Safety

Safety is the driving force within the Ontario Industrial Roofing Contractors Association (OIRCA).  All OIRCA members including new member applicants must submit to a Safety Evaluation Audit to determine their company’s compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Construction Regulations of Ontario.  The OIRCA operates an Occupational Health and Safety Committee and provides volunteers for Provincial, Regional and Roofer Labour-Management Committees at the Infrastructure Health & Safety Association (IHSA).  The OIRCA in conjunction with the IHSA has released a new 76 page publication on roofing safety titled, Low-Slope Roofing - Health & Safety Manual.  To receive a free copy you can download the PDF version of this document by clicking here.
